Lola has taught in the USA, Russia, and in India. She believes that the close embrace of tango has a therapeutic power that is available to all who enjoy tango music and like to share their feelings through dance. Lola has been teaching milonguero tango along with Srini in Houston since May 2014 and sometimes host milongas, practicas and workshops in Houston. They love to share their passion for tango to anyone who is willing to learn with the objective of dancing till their last breath. Currently, they teach weekly classes on Thursdays and also as guest instructors at local Texas events.

TESTIMONIALS

Val Khoukhtiev

Srini and Lola are great milonguero-style tango teachers. Their teaching approach is deeply rooted in the classical Buenos Aires “portenio” tango style. Srini and Lola carefully pass on and further develop this style that they acquired from their famous milonguero teachers and dancers, like Susana Miller, Pato, and Pedro Sanchez among many others. They teach tango as a natural continuation of people's behavior, such as walking and embrace, which are supported and governed by beautiful tango music. Srini and Lola do not try to break students to fit into a certain “correct” posture and steps. They teach the understanding of tango music and rhythm and rely on natural and pre-existing student skills, enhancing their moves and steps to lead and follow the rhythm of the music and the dance partner.

Due to their teaching approach, very quickly, even with restricted moves vocabulary, I started feeling comfortable in the milongas. I started understanding the rules of the dancing floor, I started enjoying the power to follow the music and translate my music interpretation to my partner. The real proof of the success of Srini Lola's teaching method was when, three years after starting learning to tango, I enjoyed dancing in many famous Buenos Aires milongas.

I’m really grateful to my teachers who gave me the tango language in which I can communicate and enjoy dancing in a milonga in any part of the world.
